Some of the material we'll be reading this term is difficult, far removed from the language you speak on a daily basis; therefore, I've made several audio recordings available for your listening pleasure. Please keep in mind, however, that merely listening to these recordings--or merely reading a poem once--is not enough to familiarize yourself with the details of the langauge and the imagery, much less the plot. You should always read assigned material at least three times, so you can get a clear picture of the text and be thoroughly prepared to discuss it in class. Reading guides for these materials are also available, and you should familiarize yourself with these reading questions before you sit down with the text.
