English 102: American Cinema in the 1920s (SP10)

This course is a continuation of EN101. Each student needs a C- to pass the course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be expected to analyze the cultural productions of a 20th century decade, with an emphasis on film; use resources in technology accurately, correctly, and effectively to conduct research and present findings; evaluate sources for audience, purpose, value judgments, arguments, and cultural assumptions; develop and present ideas in persuasive, accurately documented, analytical research essays; present ideas effectively in both group and individual oral presentations; and develop the skills of confident, capable writers, including logical reasoning, critical analysis, close reading, and a clear, precise, self-aware writing style.
