"claw and ball feet"

The "claw and ball feet" of the bathtub that is covered in the comedian's blood conjures the images of an old, antique tub, but also the image of a wolf. With furniture that has claw and ball feet, the bottom of the legs generally have long, sharp claws, which grasp a round ball. These "claw[s]" (46) are animal-like. The speaker subtly references the wolf from "Little Red Riding Hood" in this line.

This is an excellent annotation Tara. I like how you compared the feet of the wolf to that of the tub. The red blood beneath the feet of the wolf is kind of a premonition of the red riding hood story later in the poem.
