EN203: Encounter Journal

Your encounter journal is a place where you can respond on any level to your reading this term. I may ask you a pointed question to prompt your thoughts, but you should feel free to write about your own ideas and connections, too! This may be a useful study guide as we get closer to exams... I'll collect your journal at random points during the term, and I'll give you checks, check plusses, or check minuses just to give a sense of how useful and insightful your responses are--but, the most important thing to keep in mind is that you keep up with them! Your entries may be of any length, but more effective entries will take the project seriously. I recommend that you keep the journal either as a blog (send me the URL) or in a notebook (which I'll collect).

Have fun!
